The space frame is a spatial structure formed by connecting multiple rods through nodes in a certain space frame form. Truss refers to a lattice structure formed by connecting round rods at the ends. Nowadays, it has a wide range of applications and is economical and practical. Such as exhibition centers, stadiums or other large public buildings have been used. Compared with the space frame structure, the truss structure saves the longitudinal members of the lower chord and the spherical joints of the space frame, which can meet the requirements of various building forms, especially the construction of round arches and arbitrary curved shapes is more advantageous than the space frame structure. It can be seen from the force characteristics of the space frame structure that when its side-length ratio is greater than 1.5, its force characteristics change from two-way to one-way force. Therefore, for most rectangular plane buildings, it is mainly one-way force. The truss structure is similar to the plane steel truss, which is a unidirectional force structure, but the upper chord of the truss increases the width, so that the stability of the upper chord member that controls the original plane truss is improved, and its stability in all directions is the same, and saves material consumption. The truss structure is developed on the basis of the space frame structure. Compared with the space frame structure, it has its unique advantages and practicability, and the amount of structural steel is also more economical.
